ADEKEYE ADEBAJO is Executive Director of the Centre for Conflict Resolution (CCR) at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He is the author of Building Peace in West Africa, and Liberia s Civil War (both 2002); and co-editor of South Africa in Africa: The Post-Apartheid Era (2007).
SHIFERAW BEKELE is a long time member of the Department of History of Addis Ababa University and has also served as its chairperson. He has published articles on various aspects of the history of Ethiopia in the 18 th , 19 th and 20 th centuries and edited An Economic History Ethiopia (Dakar: CODESRIA. 1995).
ABED BENDJELID est professeur de géographie et d'aménagement, université d'Oran ; directeur de rédaction d'Insaniyat, revue du CRASC ; et auteur de Aménageurs et aménages en Algérie. Héritages de années Boumediene et Chadli (2004) et Les modalités d'intégration sociale dans Ie processus de régulation urbaine au Maghreb: Ie cas d'Oran (Algérie) (2005).
HIRRECHE BAGHDAD MOHAMED est magistère en philosophie (2003) et attache de recherche au CRASC depuis 2006. Ses trois dernières publications sont : sur la lecture critique du patrimoine Arabo-Musulman (Insaniyat numéro 31 en 2006) ; information scientifique sur Ie colloque international de I' écriture féminine (Insaniyat numéro 34 en 2006) ; et sur la justice et I' équité dans la philosophie allemande moderne (Kitabat Mouassira numéro 63 en 2007).
GODWIN R. MURUNGA teaches in the Department of History at Kenyatta University in Nairobi, Kenya. His recent publication is a co-edited study titled KENYA: Struggles for Democracy, Dakar and London: CODESRIA in association with Zed Books, 2007.
MAANO RAMUTSINDELA is Associate Professor in the Department of Environmental and Geographical Science at the University of Cape Town. He is the author of Transfrontier Conservation in Africa: At the Confluence of Capital, Politics and Nature (CABI 2007).

OWEN SICHONE is currently with the Department of Anthropology at the University of Pretoria, South Africa. Formerly Research and Publications Officer at OSSREA in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, he has also taught Anthropology at the University of Cape Town, South Africa.
